THE FIREBIRD

The firebird is a peacock like mythical creature with flaming red, orange and yellow feathers, often found in slavic mythology, with similar representations such as the pheonix seen across many other cultures around the world. The firebird is the embodiment of the element of fire, a representation of spirit and creation. In an ancient medieval Russian creation story, it was said that in the beginning in the primal chaos of the great ocean that the firebird laid the egg of life. When it hatched all things were born and there came purpose and order, there was Heaven, Earth, the Underworld, the circling stars and the four directions. The firebird holds the key to our existence, to life, for it knows the relationship between dark and light, chaos and order. It is revered but also feared, for the firebird will come to those who are willing and ready to embrace their shadows and be lead on a path of true transformation and liberation.

CEREMONIAL CACAO

It is no coincidence that cacao, this sacred medicine and manifestation of courage and divine love, was given to warriors before they were sent out to battle to face their own deaths. When we sit with the energy of cacao and we allow her spirit to guide us, we allow ourselves an opportunity to come into cohesiveness in mind-body-essence. Cacao connects us back to universal consciousness and love, that spark of creation that resonates in our hearts.

Mā'ili Cacao Bar

This small estate is young and the trees are producing beautiful beans with notes of blueberry, hibiscus, clove, and coffee. Coming from the Eastern Side of the island this gem is about 10 min from downtown Hilo.

Mā'ili : A stream situated nearby to the suburb Paukaa and the village Wainaku.

HAWAIIAN FERN MEDICINE

Pua’aehuehu, endemic and indigenous Hawaiian Ferns, hold the codes which correlate to specific human emotions. Fern botanicals allow humans to unravel stories wrapped around their perception of their reality that have been bound by western society. Fern botanicals allow us to connect back to a primordial experience of creation from which we can unfurl.

'Ōhi'a Kū Fern Essence Edible Hydrosol (FURY/RHYTHM)

The commanding ‘ōhi’a Kū Fern is the personification of Divine Fury, the principle of Rhythm.

Ōhi’a Kū (Mecodium) is a fern of intensity and whom prefers to attach itself to rocky cliffs, and preferably behind or in the vicinity of waterfalls. This fern enjoys the vibration created by the fury of the water impacting stone. Energetically masculine, ‘ōhi’a Kū is a pro-generator of movement, action, flow, and creator of results. Stoic, purposeful, and incredibly vibrational, he aligns us with the sacred rhythm of this very planet.

A thing about Fury...

Fury as the emotion is incredibly misunderstood, and many attribute FURY to violence and conflict. True FURY is all about RHYTHM and rhythmic patterns. Our very reality is determined by a sacred rhythm, and some call the genesis of this rhythm “The Big Bang.” From nothingness came the explosion of all - of matter, materials, light, sound, and possibility. From this place, all things are connected and maintained in harmony by a cord of rhythm. It is the fury of rhythm which allows us to materialize into this phenomenal world, and it is by this same rhythm which allow us to return the Source for spiritualization. It is the map, the blue-print, sacred doctrine, and the path.

SOUND

We have all heard it before, that emotions are “energy-in-motion”. Energy carries information and it is from this energy that we can connect to the guidance and wisdom of the unseen world and the wisdom and guidance of our inner landscape. When we are exposed to sound or music our bodies begin to tune to that sound. This resonance is what helps move stuck energy in the body.
